Stephen Gill is a British experimental and conceptual photographer that used many different and strange techniques in order to produce photos that were decayed or ruined.
Some of his most famous work involved putting random objects inside his camera in the series of photos he named Talking To Ants. When a photo was taken with these objects in the camera, the random pieces of paper, twigs and junk would also be in the photo, creating a unique effect.
Another series of photos named Buried involved Polaroid photos and burying them under ground for several weeks or months. The photos would decay under the ground due to the moisture, and once exhumed they would have bubbled patches and even areas that would be completely broken down.
This way of purposely ruining film or developed photos in order to covey decay and flaws has inspired me to think of different ways to ruin film that would fit my topic of flaws.
